Unable to connect to ECU

Hi
Wonder if anyone can help, I am unable to connect to my M84 ECU on the GT40 I am building, simply says No ECU Connected. I know the UTC CAN USB adaptor is good as my loom guy checked it plus he checked my ECU.
So I have

Got power and ground on the correct pins
Unplugged all the sensors
Downloaded the latest USB drivers and installed
Tried a laptop and a Windows tablet, both Win 10 laptop is 64 bit

Nothing, any ideas?

Should I be able to see the USB CAN adaptor as a USB device when connected to the laptop as I cannot, it's in the USB 3 socket plus have tried the USB 2

When I plug it in I can see it as a USB Controller in the Device Manager screen and if I remove it disappears so looks to be working as a driver should.

Cheers
Shaun

You probably need to download the "Utilities" installer, and install the Windows 7 & later driver for the UTC.

Here is a link, but it's on the Software Downloads page (at the very bottom).

Cheers David, spent a very wet day here in the UK doing some more digging, I found out that the pins 4 and 5 on the DIN plug had been wired the wrong way round, not sure how but once swapped it fired up no worries, all I have now is an error on a LA sensor c-6 which looking is the ECU shutting down for safety mode, wiring I think is fine (bit who knows) and I tried swapping the other LA sensor but to no avail. The only thing just dawned on me as I typed this was my map may not be for a dual sensor which was an extra, I'll check that!!
Cheers

Hi,

You will get the C-6 message on the Lambda sensor if the engine is not running. This is normal operation, if it doesn't clear when the engine is running then you have an issue with the Lambda control.
