Cranking comp stop condition

Postby acca on Fri Jun 14, 2019 11:20 pm

Hello
Cranking comp table allows to add extra gasoline for starting
I'd like to know wich parameter defines the moment when this compensation is stopped.
Not clear for me
Thanks

Normally, you would make sure at least the final column (Cranking Time -CrTm) has zeros for the compensation. You can change the values on the CrTm axis to cause this compensation to last as long or short as you wish.

Be sure to press F1 to view the help for this table.

Thanks, i red it
It says
"Note that once the engine starts F(Strt) will read the compensation from
the Post Start comp."

I'm not sure to understand :
If the engine starts, there is no more Crank compensation, even if the engine started faster than the bigger value of CrTm axis.
For example if the bigger value of CrTm axis is 10 seconds and the engine starts in 2 seconds, will the crank compensation be applied during the remaining 8 seconds ?

Obviously the cranking compensation is only active while cranking. When the engine transitions to running, the Post-Start Compensation and other running compensations take over.

Sorry I did not understand your original question.

The parameter that controls when the engine is running is this: Adjust->Misc Setup->Run RPM. That defines the RPM at which the ECU treats the engine as running.
