gear position problem

I have wired my gen1 hayabusa gear position “ switch “ ( i had to use a pull up resistor as part of the wire up )
i entered the voltage for each position ( reading the Av7 real time voltage)
My problem is , the gear position does not then register
i have tried using the calibration system registering the voltages , but it still doesn’t translate to recognising a gear position , and yet the Av7 voltage changes with each gear change

Perhaps you could post your configuration so we could see what you missed. If not then:
-- How is Adjust->Sensor Setup->Input Setup->Other->Gear Sensor Voltage (Gear V) / AV7 configured?
-- Is Adjust->Functions->Gear Detection->Setup->Gear Detection set to 2 (Voltage)?
-- Is Adjust->Functions->Gear Detection->Gear Voltage where you entered the voltages?
-- Are you using the View Screen to look for "Gear V" and "Gear" under the Sensors tab? Does the Gear V value change when the gearbox is shifted?

Thanks for the response David
Q1 predefined #30 v—- x5
Q2 2 ( volts )
Q3 yes , i digitally measured the voltage in each gear and entered them and that is what i see in the raw input voltage s
so i see the correct voltages in the raw input voltage screen. ( Av7) as i change gears
but that does not translate to seeing any volt or gear position change in the main screen

In my main screen I see the voltage change from 0.01 (N) then, when I go to 1st gear, I see some voltage as in 0.5/6 and the indicator shows 2nd gear and then after that I get no change in voltage or gears on the screen. Yet in the raw voltage I see the voltages change as they should through the gears.
Once again, thanks for your help.

Gen1 Hayabusa GPS sensors are notoriously bad. My tuner installed a Gen2 sensor when he did my M84

up date and solution to my problem
hope i explain it properly
the sensor has a 5v supply
so when the min and max are set the diag hi was set to 4.9 / 5.0
when the gear change went from say 1st to 2nd the V was 2.2 — 3.5 ( and through N —0.2v)
during that change the V jumps to 5v — the ecu throws up a fault ie max V
by setting the dia high V to 5.3 ( or higher than 5 ) there is no fault registered
i then went through all the gears and set Vs. 1–1
my gears now show and via CAN i see them on my ( plex ) dash
the person who helped me (Dave p) saw the fault in the fault screen as i changed gears
and like the last response said it may well be a quality issue with the position switch
hope this helps someone else

Try setting the diag high to a value higher than 5V (ie. 6V). to avoid the error. ooops,I see you already found this out.
