How to configure 1 cylinder 2 injectors

Postby acca on Sun Mar 18, 2018 6:47 am

Hello
I'm using M84 with monocylinder 4strokes and 1 injector motor
I'd like to set up a second injector output wich would be the synced with first injector.
This second injector output would be connected to a microcontroller (arduino) to count the total time when injector has been open during one run.
I have seen the parameter Fuelused but it seems it's not enough accurate (my motor consummes approximatively 10cc during one run)

Could someone help me to configure this output ?
Thanks

Why don't you just connect the input to you microcontroller to the actual injector and just measure the pulse widths? No need to configure a second output.

Because the signal has spikes when connected to injector due to it's coil.

If i can have clean signal, it's easier to measure.

If your M84 has Hi/Lo Injection option enabled, you could setup a secondary injector. Without that, perhaps you want to just change number of cylinders to 2, and measure the second injector output.

Ok thanks, if i have acces to "Secondary injector ratio" option, then i have Hi/lo option ?
This configuration won't change the amount of Gasoline injected by first injector with my original Fuel table ?

Look at the "ECU Enables" shown on the left side of the M84 ECU Manager Main screen when you connect to the ECU to determine what options your M84 has enabled.

I would try setting the Secondary Injector Ratio to 1.0
Primary Balance On = 0.0
Primary Balance Off = 0.0
Secondary Balance On = 100.0
Secondary Balance Off = 100.0

I would set the Adjust->Fuel->Secondary Injection->Secondary Balance Table to 50%

You might need to double your IJPU value (Adjust->General Setup->Fuel->Setup) since it would think that half the fuel would come from the secondary injector, but it might be OK as is.

Remember the alternative:
Try changing the number of cylinder to 2 -- I think that would be easy to test
