IAC Valve Wiring

Postby zerotwo on Wed Dec 09, 2015 2:53 pm

I'm a new M84 user. I plan to use a Bosch 2-wire IAC valve for idle control and have several questions. First, as I understand it, one wire needs to be a PWM signal and the second wire needs to be 12V. Is this correct? Second, the connector for the valve is marked 1 & 2 . Which wire goes to which pin on the connector? I'm assuming there is a distinct way of wiring it. I tried searching for an answer but could not find anything definitive. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You are correct in that you connect to a switched 12v supply and an aux output. The two wire valves are electrically just a coil so polarity doesnt matter, you can connect either wire to either pin.
