Hey friends
I'm straggling to start my car, I need help with the basic set -up.
I'm using M48 on Porsche 911 6 cylinders 3L since it was a mechanical fuel injection system there is no sensor OEM
i need to make one a especially for it .
I bought from Porsche work-shop a 60-2 pulley from aluminum and installed it, I made the basic set-up for it. I install an expander unit as well since I need 3 ignition output i want to make it distributor less .i have taken from Audi A6 the model unit with 3 double coils it will make me 6
all is good on paper..... the result is that i have rpm and i manage to make the crip with the ignition gun but the engine will not fire. all it does its backfire a lot . i notice that the tooth on the pulley are very small 2.5 mm. i consulted with a tuner he told me that my magnetic sensor is to low because of the small teeth there for the motec can not work properly.he advice me to built pulley with lager teeth but there is no room for it on the engine.
is there a way to increase the low reading ?
i will appreciate any suggestions. or maybe i am on the wrong path ?
did any one did it before? any first set up ?
thank you

Try adding 360deg to your CrIp. If you are wasted spark, you might be measuring CrIP on the TDC overlap, not compression.

Find your local MoTeC dealer and get their help. We've been through this before, and have the tools to diagnose the problem (Oscilloscope).

Lots of things could be wrong, everything from your configuration (mag levels), trigger setup, ignition output polarity.

A common problem for first-timers is to wire the outputs in cylinder number order, instead of firing order. The outputs fire sequentially, 1 first, 2 second, etc You need to wire these correctly for the firing order of your engine.

Good Luck!
