M84 showing 5.21 value for wideband sensor

Postby damian on Sat Jun 20, 2015 3:38 pm

Hello,
I have tried 2 different LSU sensors, a 4.2 and 4.9, and double checked the wiring and always get a value of 5.21 for LA1, this is outside the car, in free air. Even after a free air calibration, it does not change the value. It shows it warming up fine, no error codes, but just shows 5.21 as the value sitting in free air.

Anyone else come across this, did I miss an obvious setting or wires crossed on the harness?

In free air it will sit at the max La value the calibration allows, wouldn't it?

Hmm, yes you may be correct, I may have been thinking of the numbers the wrong way and expecting a different value.

If you breathe into the sensor you should see a change in the value, as the exhaled air will have a lower O2 concentration.
