Just recieved our M84 and EVO4 from Precision Auto Research and I'm very happy with all their service. I started to read through some of the documentation for the M84 and also I've gone through some of the FSAE webinars for getting everything set up. Holy wow! Just another confirmation that we should have bought a motec years ago. In digging around I noticed that there's a R6 base file for the hundred series ECU that i came across on here. I could go through an double-check everything through an M400 ecu manager and move it to the M84 but I was curious if Motec had a base file for the R6 already on the M84 or at least had a list of parameters for setup that i could run through and re-check. I'm semi-confident that i should have everything setup properly but its a matter of being 100% sure so its one less thing to worry about.

As the M84 is fairly new, I would suggest that we would not have an R6 start file for that ECU.

The best option is to copy the maps, and settings from the M800 file into an M84 file.

The easiest way to do this is to export out the tables, and write down the settings in one manager, then open up the other manager and import in the tables, etc. That is how I have been doing it here as required.

To build a convert application would just take too much time at the moment.

This is what I ended up doing. we've been waiting for our Deutsch connectors to come in so I don't have anything wired up quite yet but once we get a working file I can upload it to here for future use.

The best thing to do is go through the ECU seminar notes for ECU installation. I wrote these note as a basic ordered list of what you need to set to get the engine running without a file. If you have a Hundred series file you just need to copy the feul and ignition main maps and compensations and then make sure all the parameters in the ECU Insatllation seminar note are sorted and it should just fire up.

I finally had time to look through all of those just recently, great job on a thorough write-up!
