I think you can use a crank only sensor , but that will limit you to non sequential injection

Yes, but you would need to run a missing or additional tooth crank sensor. But you will need to run waste spark on your coils

Press F1 in the software for more help.

Thanks sprintertrd,
That was going to be my next question, I was going to use a 12 tooth wheel of a Kawasaki zzr1400 as this will fit quite easily without to much trouble, then I was wondering how the ecu would no when the engine was a tdc with out the cam sensor.
Would a 12 - 1 wheel work?
This way I could get it up and running with just swapping the wiring from my existing ecu for now.

I think you will have issues with 12-1 mainly during cranking. Check the help file for the minimum teeth required.

Additional tooth may be a better option

Have found a bike running the zzr 12 -1 wheel, but also has a cam sensor on M84.
Would it be possible to run it without a cam sensor non sequential and wasted spark?
Cheers SRR.

Right,
To awkward to fit a cam sensor, so how about a Drive of the end of the crank and geared the same as the cams with a sensor on that?
Will it work?

there is no reason why that won’t work , you can get CRIP from that

the photos of the cam sensor i did on the Kawaka GPZ. don’t do the fit justice ( mainly because the photo was upside down—- (. always have your i phone or ipad with the home button on the right or bottom )
the cam cover is Magnesium , which required special tig welding.
simple is best —- , keep at it.
if it helps. give me your email , i can send much better photos —— much easier than posting here
cheers
