M84 Aux Output in Tacho Mode

Postby FastTrons on Wed Aug 10, 2011 6:49 am

When using a M84's aux output in Tachometer mode is the signal a 0 to 5 volt level?

If so is it possible to change to a 0 to 12 volt level.

I am unable to drive an Autometer 12 volt tachometer with this input.

Thanks in advance

The outputs on our ECUs by default are switches to ground and do not "send out" a 12v signal. If the tacho does not work with the signal wire attached directly to an output you can try a 1000 ohm resistor bridging the signal wire to 12v.

Pulling up Aux Output to 12 volts worked just fine. Thanks much
