M84 Hayabusa Gen II to Gen I

Postby LSR Racer on Thu Feb 01, 2018 8:45 am

I am moving my Gen II M84 PnP setup to my Gen I bike. In the setup, I am changing the Cam sensor over from Hall to Magnetic and choosing a 24-1 ref/sync arrangement. I believe this is option 5. What setting should I be using for the CRIP? It's at 463 with the Hall sensor.

Also, does anyone know the polarity of the Gen I mag sensor? My harness has been moved around so I'm not sure I have polarity correct. The Ref/Sync capture shows a positive/negative cam signal with one polarity and a negative/positive signal with it the other way. I'm not sure which way it should be.

Thanks,
Shane

Here is the ref/sync capture. It almost starts. Is the falling edge of the cam signal supposed to be aligned in the gap of the ref signal?

this doesn’t help you at all
i have a gen 1 with M84 , uses a gen 2 , 24-2 crank wheel , and hall cam sensor
but i have shifted the cam pin location , to spread the signal from the crank missing teeth to the cam signal , it was to correct what seemed a ref/ sync issue but was operator error ———- read my programming badly
