Thanks, but unfortunately I am using IC controlled sensors that emulate pots by giving a proportional voltage output....so I need something without a pullup confusing things.

I have a multifunction process calibrator, which simulates a TC input by mV or temp and has all the common NIST TC type mV tables in memory, a current to 24mA, or a voltage to 20v, and can step by 1 mV. Just hooked it up to an M800 and put a voltage output onto an AT input.

It read correctly to 1mV.

It really depends upon the nature of the sensors output whether or not it will work on an AT input, maybe there will be an offset applied, maybe not, but if you are short inputs its worth a try, and offsets can be compensated for in the sensor calibration. Its worth experimenting with.

Multifunction process calibrator, I don't know how I lived without it, very handy tool, and these days they are pretty cheap.

Interesting.

I'll give it a go at the weekend.

Thanks

So now that I expanded the AN options a little JamieA on the GPR thread convinced me to just buy something like this:

TRK-USB-MPC5602P
http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/e ... mt=b&pdv=c

Its $25 and has CAN, serial, and an ADC with 15 inputs....so it can read the innovate WBO2 control serial signal or the analog out and all my NB sensor then emulate an LTC to pass it to the M150. I just need to find time to make this happen so I'll stick with the analog work a round for the moment. Frustrating I need to do this, but not the end of the world either I suppose.

You'd probably need the full version, but still only $75 -

I have a couple of these:
http://www.digikey.co.uk/product-search ... ds=mpc5634

same thing as you found but more stuff in the processor and $99US .....I'm using it for an opensource ECU I play with:
http://open5xxxecu.org/

Basically what's running the M1xx ecus (MPC5566), just fewer pins.

I like the 5602 because its cheaper and smaller but will run the same code so everything I already have for o5e would work, I just need to add a CAN output, which was on the to-do list anyway. I could make a little dongle that sells for like...$100 and reads innovate serial data and has 15 AN inputs so you could read I think 32 innovate devices serially PLUS an additional 15 analog signals and send it all out to the ECU on CAN.......for $100.

Maybe do another version with 8 or 12 EGT inputs on it....for $100

Still mad the M150 has 2 lambda pins it can't use for lambda.......a buddy said he's got some time to help out so I just got a couple of the TRK-UBS-MPC5602P boards to make a couple prototype AN to CAN units. They'll have calibration lookup tables on all the AN so it can read any NB sensor or WB controller and replace 8-12 LTC units (depending what connector we find) or send any other AN signal in for the pins challenged M130. If it works I'll have some run off and through them on ebay for anyone else who needs it....it shouldn't be more than $100. Problem solved.

Just in case you guys weren't aware of this one: http://etesta.com/etesta-products/ana2.html
I have no ties to the product and have never used one, just stumbled across it a while ago. @$300 for 12 extra AV's it might be easier than doing it yourself...
Seems like all his electronics are aimed towards the M1's.

Neat little toy, and the article on wifi is pretty handy.

For info, the pressure output of the sensor reads OK on an AT input (slight offset, just need to change the table)....the temperature output on the sensor doesn't read at all on an AT input. A bit ironic that the temperature sensor doesn't work on an AT input! Still, freed up a knock sensor input so good enough.

A single knock sensor on a V6 probably isn't ideal but still better than NONE.

Thanks for the tip.
