Injector driver question m800

Postby msgofast on Fri May 19, 2017 7:50 pm

Hi,

can an injector drive on the ecu fail in a way will drop out the injector under high load and but ok when light load?
ecu sustained a crash that cut the loom, so thinking maybe a sort killed something in the ecu?

thanks.

Unlikely, but I guess anything is possible.

Is the injector signal stopping at higher loads ? Which cylinder ?

unsure if it's an inj or plug, it's too clean off and on to be a plug.
need to get the board tested.

Just do a injector test under "Utilities" "Test output" crank up the RPM and duty with no pressure in the fuel line.

If it works there then its not the ECU.

Then test it. Don't guess.

Get a scope or meter on the output and test/monitor under load. You seem to suggest this is a repeatable problem ?
