Windows 8.1 pro. Or 7 pro ?

General question , not sure where to ask
I have a new " ruggard" laptop and it comes with Windows 8.1 pro
Is this the best option or should I roll back to Windows 7
I use an M 4 and an M 84
The unit has 2 serial ports ( handy with M 4 and a dyno that uses a serial port )
