Boost Control Normal Position Setup

I'm new to tuning turbo engines and having been looking through the webinars to get as much info as possible before I start running on the dyno.
I was looking at the Boost Control Part 2 Supplement webinar and was wondering what the benefits were of using Aim Boost instead of Throttle Position as one of the axis of the Boost Control Normal Position table.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Different than you, 98% of the projects I have worked with were Turbocharged, and from the tests I made using the Aim boost axis on the NORMAL POSITION TABLE the system react faster because is a calculated channel, rather then MAP or TP which constantly varying.
If you have done a really good mapping of the NORMAL POSITION TABLE with the suggested axis (AIM BOOST x RPM), you just need to change your AIM BOOST TABLE to achieve the boost you want. On that table is where I usually add TP as a axis.
Since the NORMAL POSITION TABLE values are only a duty cycle values to start the PID calculation with (FeedFoward), not exactly the final number you'll end up on you log, if your Closed Loop system is enable.
It is really a matter of preference, the webminar only made a suggestion, but you can map you NORMAL POSITION TABLE the way you think it will fit your system the best.
If I may, I strong suggest for you to start this way, if doesn't fit your system you can always change. But from my experience if it is a regular automotive application I believe you'll find the results satisfactory enough.

The application that I am currently working on is for track use. I should be working on this over the next few days.
