A friend has put two Porsche 911 variable vane turbos on a Lexus V8 in a Supra, he got it running pretty well on a Syvecs ecu, but the turbine housings were really too small, so mega low end boost, but excess back pressure at the top end even with the vanes wide open. he was controlling boost from exhaust manifold pressure rather than intake pressure, I think. I'll post a link when I find it. I have asked this on another forum, (efi101) and few see any merit in electronic control and say it's overcomplicating things. I don't agree. I am looking at 4 port actuators or two 2 port ones to allow me to run soft springs in my integral gated Skyline turbos, but I need to change the actuators to dual port, and I am not convinced they'll be reliable. I have posted separately about these I think. Cheers Mark.
