October 5, 2010 - Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah

Team RSL Racing ran 221.316 Miles Per Hour at the Southern California Timing Association World Finals at Bonneville Speedway this morning qualifying for a class record of 213.176 MPH. Team RSL, headed by Richard Losee of Ogden, Utah, run their Steve Harris Imports sponsored Ferrari Enzo with twin Precision Turbo turbochargers in the C - Blown Fuel Modified Sport division. The C classification designates engine displacement which is 6.0 Litres for the Ferrari V12. The team was not expecting to make a run that fast as this is only their third event with the car in its current configuration. The car designated MM Enzo for Most Miles at 31000 now features twin MoTeC M600 Engine Management Systems controlling Injector Dynamics injectors and a MoTeC ADL3 Data Logger system which were all calibrated by Shane Tecklenburg of Mission Viejo, California.

Said Tecklenburg "We have been really taking it a step at a time and evaluating different setups to find a good balance between speed and safety. We spoke in our team meeting this morning about trying to match our top speed from the last event of 205, but left the option open for Richard to push it up if he felt comfortable. Apparently he excercised that option."

The car was sent to mandatory impound as per SCTA rules and the team will await its opportunity to set the record for the class at 8:00am Mountain time Friday. Rules require that the backup run be made which allows an average of the first run and the second run to be higher than the current record of 213.176 which means Losee, the 1997 SCCA Group 2 National Pro Rally Champion, must attain at least 205.037 MPH on his backup run to officially get the record.

The team consists of driver Richard Losee, Project Manager Kevin Marsh, Chief Technician Randy Felice and tuner Tecklenburg. Sponsors include Cirque Lodge, Miller Motorsports Park, SS Exotics, Lockhart Engineering, Salt City Specialties, Eagle Fabrication and Tuned by Shane T
