A wee bit of help

Postby jonnyswift on Thu Nov 03, 2011 9:50 am

Hi All,

Im new to this forum, I finally pulled the old ecu (which was driving me insane) out of my swift a few months ago, and installed a M800. A massive thanks to Steve Hurst from GWR motorsport for a loom, so nice I wanted to hang it on the wall. He installed, set it up and started it all in an afternoon!! Top Man.
Since then I have had it mapped but have been trying to sort out the cruse and lower areas because they have always been all over the place in the fuel main map. I have smothed it out a bit all over but kept it rich because there are some big lean spots which i couldnt work out. I think it is something to do with the accel settings.
I would be gratefull if someone could have a look.
I love the motec logging and I2

Many thanks

John

All sorted now :D

An afternoon with Steve was a revilation, he quickly poped a SDL3 in the car for extra loggign and a display for me to find the load and rpm sites easily.
After some serious changes it runs beautifully.
I cannot say enough good things about Steve the things he showed me you can do with a motec are insane :ugeek: , the norm in the UK for tuning is £100 per hour, I have been charged as much as £800 for 4 hours work on my car with bad results. Steve is the exact opposite.
If you are in the UK and need a loom for your motec GWR Motorsport is the only place to go.
