DBW - Aux Table 1

Postby Phoenix on Sat Jun 01, 2013 4:07 am

Gents,

Can anyone please explain to me what the below DBW - Aux Table 1 represents, in comparison to the DBW - Position Translation (%) Table..?

Thank you.

Get used to hitting F1 key a lot-

The Aux Table is only used if the Function for the Aux Output is set to
one of the following:

Auxiliary Table
DC Servo Motor Control
Cam Control 1 or Cam Control 2
Servo Stepper Motor Control
Fuel Pressure Control / Fuel Pressure Control 100Hz
Mazda RX8 OMP
Thermo Fan Table
Traction Control Power Reduction

However, that doesn't mean the aux table can't be used to output a value that can be used elsewhere.

First table is a drive by wire throttle table (sets relationship between pedal position and throttle position- note how high ECT closes the throttle down to protect the engine) 2nd is cam angle (ie. AVCS).

Thanks for your replies.
I'm aware of the purpose for the position translation table...im the one who set it up in relation to ECT.
Its just the Aux Table 1 table that has thrown me off, since its on all Motec start up maps for Subarus with AVCS.
I want to remove this table...but, just need to be sure it wont have a negative impact.
With regards to it being related to AVCS, why have this table if there are already Aux Output AVCS tables on hand for both intake and exhaust valves..?
