Kawasaki 250 Ultra Kit

Postby PeteS on Thu Feb 26, 2009 9:38 am

MoTeC have just finished a succesful test of a plug in solution for the Ultra 250
The final kit will consist of the following
M400 ECU
Plug in adapter loom with external ignitor drives
KTC comms adapter for operating the factory dash.

Recent water testing has confirmed full dash functionality and at the same time a good start file has been created.
A standard engine is expected soon for dyno testing. At the completion of testing MoTeC will publisise gains over the factory ECU.

Hi Dave
Actually not a lot
We had prolems with our dyno but now have that fixed
The Kawasaki will be run again soon to show power curve differences on std and the R&D 1 to 1 pulley.
We have looms in production now and kits should be released in by the end of the month.

Would this kit be of any benefit to the non-supercharged Ultra LX ?

of particular interest would be tuning it to run on standard ULP

cheers

Hi Rosco
I am not sure if the wiring etc would be the same on an LX
I am also not sure just how much benifit you would get either as we havent tested that exact model.
Once fitted any MoteC can be tuned to maximise power and economy on any chosen fuel, the real numbers of the gains thou I cant tell you.

Hi Pete

I have an enquiry from a guy runing a 260X with a turbo for racing. He has been running another (Australian) ecu but seems to have got fed up with it and wants to change to MoTeC. Where are you now with Kawasakis?

Hi Toby
Sorry this is a bit late
Omar found it and pointed it out to me.
Our 260 ultra kits have certainly been used on turbo kits. I have a start file that would get you going and can assist with final tuning over logging if required
