Goldwave settings

Postby John Reed on Fri Jul 03, 2009 11:00 pm

What sampling rate is best for the Goldwave software? My knock window signal is not true square wave (will try and post a screen capture when I can). Starts as a square wave on the rising edge, but then tapers for part of the falling. The actual knock signal data looks pretty normal.

I also get the occasional INJ8 open error, though not all the time.

M800 ECU, waste fire 10 cylinder engine. It is also an odd fire engine if that changes things.

How do you wastefire on an oddfire engine?
Is this a Viper? or a S85?

Thanks for the reply Martin. It was my sound card doing it, in the end I found it to not cause me any issues at all.

Viper, and other than the last year or two they have always been odd fire, waste spark.

I didnt think you could Waste spark an Oddfire.

Although you waste spark it, you must still sync the ECU sequentially so that It knows which cylinder is firing right?

i.e. If you look at an individual coil at steady RPM, its firing pulses will not be evenly spaced.
Am i right?
