Hey Martin,

I believe they changed the ref and sync sensors for the L98's so it needs to be a specific file but thanks anyway!

The ref and sync sensors on LS1 and LS2 are also different, but mode stays the same. I know the Ls7 is a 60-2 mode. Is this what the Ls98 uses? If it does, thats mode 17.

Thanks for the reply Martin!
(everywhere I look you're being helpful)

I'm not really sure what changed just that something did so the wiring is different along with the Sensors.

To be honest I haven't gotten that far into it as I'm just finishing off the Turbo hardware but I figured by asking I could get a running start for the upcoming wiring hell job :)

Thanks IJ

LS2
Ref A Blue Signal
B Yellow 0v
C Red 8v

Sync A Red 8v
B Yellow 0v
C Brown Signal

I know the LS1`s pinouts are diffrent. My guess is that your L98 is just another variation. I dont see a lot of LS1`s but ill try and remember to check the pinouts when I see one again. THe rest of the pinouts on the LS engines are pretty straight forward, exept the Idle control valve that is ABDC for AUX5,6,7,8 (not ABCD)

Your best bet is just to measure on a running engine there.
..just as a matter of interest....is your ref sensor a brownish colour? (the normal LS ones are black)

I believe it's the same as an L76 the DoD engine in the USA Martin.

Haven't looked at the Sensor sorry, I found a guy with a start file here in Australia so I'll grab that and have a look what the settings are, I'm still at the doing a pinout spreadsheet for this thing and so far have 310 lines and haven't started on the Trans controller yet ;)

MoTeC M800 ECU
MoTeC 816 Expander
MoTeC 2 axis G sensor
MoTeC EGT
MoTeC wb02
MoTeC SDL
MoTeC SLM
MoTeC SKM
MoTeC PDM15

Impressive list of equipment!

Will this engine see high boost? What coils are you running?

Thanks Martin, been using the MoTeC gear with the 3.0L I-6 that did a best of 410 rwkw.

The L98 will only see a maximum of 6000rpm and 10psi the idea being to try and make the widest possible power band so it drives nicely at all times. :)
