The "plan" is to do it all on an unopened engine and see how it all responds Martin.
People here are running 10>12psi but most are using lots of overlap on the cam to bleed off cylinder pressure, I'll use the methanol injection to counteract this with the stock cam.
Mode 23 sensors will fit on Mode 17 engines, allthough both are hall, (you will have to swap pins to get them working) still it will not work, the mode 23 sensor will not read the teeth inside. I dont think its a length issue but rather a pole diameter problem.
The problem is one sensor is a dual hall sensor and the other is a single hall sensor.
The dual hall sensor operates with the strange looking crank disk with the offset teeth. One sensor element is used to switch the output from high to low on one set of teeth and the other sensor element is used on the other set of teeth to switch from low to high.
The single hall element sensor just needs a normal style tooth to operate.
Here is a V3.50 start file with some mapping for an L76/L98 engine with DBW. Please note that your CrIP may need to be altered by 6 degrees either way as changing your cam gear, however minutely, may change the index tooth by one position.
