Unable to retrieve GPS track, retrieve now button greyed out

Hello,

I can't figure out why the retrieve now button is greyed out in the Add->GPS track->Map options.
My unique Google static map API key was added in Tools->Options->Analysis.

Other things I tried include adding a new firewall exceptions for MoTec, disabling any proxy and trying a
different version (i2 Standard) with no success.

Was planning to use the GPS track functionality to visually compare the cars racing line, lap against lap.
Maybe I am missing something obvious.

Thanks in advance

Hello,

The sample log file does not contain GPS data so the track is generated using the Lateral G & Speed method.

Without GPS data in the log file the GPS track component will show nothing (including the background image)

Thanks for clearing this up.

My MoTec telemetry data comes straight from ACC sim where no GPS data is added to the log files.

Upon inspecting the file after a csv. export, I noticed it adds the correct venue which made me wonder if there was a way to manually add GPS start and finish line coordinates somewhere and make those show up in MoTec i2 thus allowing to generate said GPS track using Google Maps and visualize and compare racing lines lap against lap.

Or maybe there is a more straightforward way to go about this.

Anyhow, thanks for your help.

To use the GPS Track component is drawing a trace based on the GPS latitude and GPS longitude channels referencing the sample time in the log, it won't work with just a single point at the start finish line.

As an example in a real car GPS position data is logged at a minimum of 10hz.

You might need to reach out to Assetto Corsa to see if they can generate simulated latitude and longitude data.
