Hi there!

I'm facing exactly the same problem. First the Video was working fine. but when I re open my recent workspace, the video just stay black. I could here the sound (so I guess i2 knows the correct file). And sometimes, like on my screenshot, the video window just shows artefacts from different screen regons.
THX for any help!

Do you have any other applications running that might be trying to use the Video Processing hardware (ie, games, video chat, video players, web browser)? If so, any change if you close those applications.

Hi,
No - only i2. Nothing else. I have also checked, if Windows or anything else is downloading updates in the background. But no..

Thanks for any help

I'm also having this exact issue, with an nvidia GTX 1070 driving the display. If I switch over to my onboard Intel graphics using the same monitor with the same PC the issue goes away, so something nvidia seems to be the cause. I have this workaround now but a real fix that doesn't require swapping cables would be great.

Hi I have exactly the same problem. I can only listen to the audio but I do not see the video.
I have also installed the FFDShow Codec as suggested by Motec, but nothing changed. I have Window 10 with a nvidia RTX2070.
Any suggestion?

Add me to the list of people with this same set of symptoms. I updated the video driver (which apparently I needed to do for some other software that didn't like the old one) a week or so ago and where i2pro was able to show me video no problem on this system, now it cannot. All I get is audio at the moment.

I have a second system and when I test on that using the same i2pro version and workspace/data/video file combination everything looks as I'd expect it to...that's an Intel GPU system and the system that doesn't work properly all of a sudden has an NVidia GTX 1080 Ti.

Interestingly, if in i2pro I go into the video component properties, edit the camera view and then in that dialog box highlight the video file (the correct one for the session is found, btw), then the video shows and plays just fine in the itty bitty preview window...it just doesn't play in the main worksheet display. Not sure if that helps troubleshoot or not but it might give someone a clue perhaps??

Oh, and the MP4 file plays directly in VLC perfectly on the NVidia-equipped system outside the context of i2pro also in case that is a question.

Hi,

We are in the process of sourcing some of these video cards so that we can test for this issue and find a resolution to it, it appears to be related to a narrow set of video cards in Windows 10.
