Both versions (1.1.4.042x) fail install on XP 32 bit with the error "Requires Window Vista SP 2 or newer".

Ain't a Vista install, and I'm at XP SP3.

Yes that is correct, i2 no longer supports Windows XP. You need Windows Vista or newer to be able to install the latest version of i2.

For XP machines you will need to run the older 1.1.2.xxx version of i2.
