i2 data display problem with Windows Vista

Problem
We received a brand new Vista Ultimate laptop that was having a problem with running i2 correctly. i2 would install, create projects and start just as you would expect. The problem was when you loaded a log file, i2 would appear to load the log file (and show that the log file was opened in the load log file dialogue), but no data would appear. Within i2, no data was shown in data window, nor on any graph or the values window. This problem happened with any log file that you may have tried to open.
Reinstalling i2 made no difference.
Workaround
1. On the Start menu, type “regsvr32 vbscript.dll” into the “start search” input box.
2. A message should appear stating that the "DllRegisterServer in C:\WINDOWS\system32\vbscript.dll succeeded."
That fixes the problem, and it only needs to be done once.
