A bit unclear about i2 and i2 Pro

Postby FoxSTI on Sun May 29, 2016 9:34 am

I have been playing with both version to compare.
I have not yet purchased the logging upgrade on my dash but someone was king enough to share some logs with me.

Been reading here and there and I have some basis questions:

Once I unlock my dash for logging without the pro upgrade can I use i2 pro to view the logs from my dash ? I foresee the answer being no.

You can get the "Open i2 Standard logfiles in i2 Pro" upgrade for i2 Pro, thus allowing for i2 Standard files to have advanced analysis tools applied. This works out if you are dealing with multiple vehicles that have a mix of Standard and Pro logging enabled. if you are just looking at you own vehicle, then it is better to get the Pro upgrade for your Dash.

Thank you Sdean.
However, i2 Standard CAN open pro log, but does not allow or take into consideration the "advanced / pro" features.

That's correct, you can open the files, but the pro functionality is disabled.
