i2 Std upgrade to i2 Pro

Hi Motec guys,

I am from the UNSW@ADFA FSAE Team. We have been recording all our data using a SDL with Std logging. We have finally advanced to the point in our analysis and design where we need to create maths channels and create more plots than we can in i2 Std. Is there currently any way we can pay to upgrade our files to Pro Logging so we can use them in i2 Pro. We would also like to upgrade to Pro Logging, does this mean we will end up with a whole bunch of files that are not interchangable. I read the other thread on the 'dongle' idea which sounds pretty good, is there any update on the progress of this?

There's no issues with opening Pro files in I2 standard.

Dongles absolutely suck. MOTEC is an industry leader in this - not resorting to hardware that can be easily stolen, lost, fail and the wrong time, etc. MOTEC's method of protecting their "pro analysis" income is the best in the business!

There are going to be changes in the pro/standard area, I suspect by the end of this year, but many things such as security, portability, compatability and alike are yet to be ironed out.

So as it stands today, if you download a file as standard, then that is all the file can be.

I think you mean that you can open Pro-Logging files in I2 Standard. (bottom line - you can overlay the data from two files, one with pro logging and one without you just have to use i2 Standard). I don't believe you can currently open non-pro logging files in i2 Pro.
