Unfortunately, we don't have an answer for you.

I test i2 for compatibility with XP, Vista, and 7-64 and 32. This line of operating systems are all that we officially test or guarantee compatibility with. As there are so many other possible operating systems, we cant really test and ensure that we support them all.

We also have an issue with small laptops. Although they are great to carry around, the screen size can become an issue. If you have screen resolution less than 1024 X 768, then some items that you will need to use will end up off the bottom of the screen, making i2 very hard to use. This minimum resolution may well be more of a problem to you on a net book than the operating system, even if you get it going.

Jamie - For what it is worth...
i2 runs on a mac as follows:
1) fusion
2) parallels
3) booting up bare-metal.

But the RS232 can be problematic, (if needed).
RS232 seems to work best as bare metal booting with with refit or bootcamp.
