Wheel circ correction

Postby Ca1 on Mon Nov 02, 2009 9:30 am

This season the class I am participating in has altered the regulations so the technical people can request our data at any time.
As such, they have stipulated a tyre circumference that everyone must use as a constant.

The value they have requested is different to what we have used for the last 7 years.

What is the best way for me to comply with what the technical people require without compromising my ability to overlay my historical data?

1) have 2 values in the dash. If you have an ADL/ACl, just put a multiplier in the maths section, and use that to create a new channel in the ADL, one creating speed at your diameter, one at theirs. Use yours for all calcs inside the dash, theirs for logging, along with yours.

or

2)Change it to their diameter, then use the i2 maths to change it back for your use within i2.
