Corrected Speed problem

Postby Martin on Mon Oct 05, 2009 6:24 pm

I would like to get the corrected speed and distance generated from a logfile coming from an ECU.

The problem is that you cannot select.."Ground speed Left" or "ground speed right" or the driven wheelspeeds.
under tools>corrected speed and distance there is "groundspeed" and also "drive speed" but not the individual left and right channels. You are also not able to enter those channels when you try to add a channel...

MoTeC.Interpreter.Std (1.0.5.12)

Thanks

The speed channels logged in an ECU do not have any speed units associated with them as they can be setup in the digital inputs with the calibration value you enter defining whether the result is in km/h or mph.

With this being the case you need to assign units to the channel in i2, you can do this by setting up a Channel Mapping for each channel, go to Tools > Channel Mappings... I have included a screen capture of one I've setup.

Once you have setup the mappings you'll need to reopen the log file and then you can select the channels in the Corrected Speed and Distance calculations.
