Modify sections in i2pro

Postby Tarbeker on Thu Sep 19, 2024 8:01 pm

Hello community,
I am new to i2pro. We have uploaded the GPS data ifor the venue into the dash. I do receive the data split into laps correctly. Now I want to split the track into sectors for better analysis.
I can create Sectors in 'track editor'. It shows the button 'generate track' The track is 20km long. The button 'Generate Sections' is inactive - greyed out.
How do I activate the sections for analysing my data?

Is there a tutorial about how the handle sectors in i2pro?

Hi,

The Generate Sections will generate all the sectors, braking the track map up into all the straights and corners.

Once your have your track map available, you will want to add a new category with the 'New category' button.

For the generate Sections button to work, this MUST be called default. This is because the sectors defined in the 'Default' category are leveraged for several time graph related functions. You don't need to worry about detailing the section names, as these will all be replaced.

Now the generate sections button can be pressed, which will break the track up into turns and straights based on the thresholds defined in this section. This will then populate all your straights and turns.

You can also have separate categories for track sectors if you wish additional to the default set. You can then choose which are used for channel and other reports.
