Max/Min Reference Lines - When in Overlapped Mode

Hello all,

I am trying to work out if it is possible to have my max/min reference lines still show when I put the data set into overlapped mode. When in Tiled mode all my set Max/Min lines are visible, the moment you go into overlapped, they disappear. It does work when there is just one group in the display, however I need varying scales and also multiple reference lines, as within i2 I believe its only possible to set reference (Max/Min) lines per group, not per channel?

Is there an option to keep them visible? Am I just missing a simple tick box?

If not It would be really helpful to have this feature available in overlapped mode also. Or just Max/Min lines for each channel, not per group.

Hi George,

The Min/Max lines will still work in the Overlapped/Group time graph, however you need to make the active displayed channel to be one of the channels in the Tile that has the Min/Max values assigned.

Ok got it, However does this still mean I can only show one set of max/min lines at a time, i.e only on the one selected active channel in Overlay mode?

What I'm trying to do is have a page where you have a 7 groups with the same channel, gearbox drum position (N to 6th), and a max min line representing each gears calibrated gear position tolerance for drum angle. Its a nice way of seeing any miss shifts or quickly locating partially engaged shifts over a lap.

What would be nice is to have all the max/min lines for each channel (albeit they are the same channel) visible.

I know its a a bit of a bodge but its helfpul as a quick reference.

Are you using i2 Standard or i2 Pro?

Seeing as you are using i2 Pro, you are far better off using maths and constants to show your gear tolerances.

Using some simple choose functions, it will unclutter the timegraph, and only show the tolerance values when relevant.

Using Constants to define your calibrated position for each gear and tolerance (with the constants quick edit function you can also update the workspace easily) or log the parameters so they come across with the logging. From here you can add a choose function so they are only present when going into that gear, and the invalid function so they are not present the whole way across the timegraph.
