Import data from plex dash

Postby Richy on Thu Mar 17, 2022 7:28 am

Wanting to use sw for track day analysis. I’ve bought a plex sdm 550 before my m150 ( gt86 P&p). Really happy working with the motec sw and tbh ain’t got time or interest in learning more sw packages.

Can to pro version of i2 read the plex tuning data? If so I may stick with the plex dash if not might just buy a motec dash.

Hi,

We do not have a specific importer for the Plex Dash data, does it have the ability to export the data from the Plex software in different formats?

What is the Plex logging that your ecu cannot log, that you need to import the data ?

The Plex Dash logging data is natively an .SDL format. I believe you can set the Plex device manager software to pull the log file off the device and save it as a CSV, if not you need the Plex race analysis software to export it into CSV format.

You could then use the MoTeC CSV import in i2 pro to import this, which is a purchased subscription upgrade for I2 pro. You would also need to set up channel mapping for your CSV import, as the MoTeC CSV import does not recognise any of the channel units due to the layout of the CSV file from plex (I just imported the same log from the race analysis software to test it)
