Google Client ID - Hi res tack map

noticed the option described above in the properties dialog on the GPS map window.
How does one go about enabling this higher resolution content?

PS: what is an .dlx file "Motec log extention data" ?

I've never used that feature. But I would assume you have to have a commercial agreement with Google to have access to high-resolution maps. I think you'll find what you need to know here:

http://www.google.com/intl/en/permissio ... lines.html

The .ldx file is the file that contains information in addition to the original ".ld" Logged data format. Basically I2 keeps any information like per-file math channels (scaling & filtering), beacon changes, etc for a specific logged data file in the corresponding .ldx file. It's usually no big deal if you don't copy that -- yes you will you lose that info, but I2 will re-create it as necessary.

BTW Here is what the help file has to say (under Basics - Log Files):

File Extensions
i2 loads MoTeC log files with the .ld file extension. These files are produced by most MoTeC products (excluding M4 and M48 ECUs)

All changes that i2 makes to the log file are stored in a companion file with the .ldx file extension. This ensures that the original log file is never modified.

The name of the .ldx file is the same as the associated log file.

Data that is stored in the .ldx file includes log file maths, changes to details, inserted or modified beacons.

it seems you need to sign up for API.. unfortunately that is over my head. =(
I did e-mail google yesterday and they quoted me $10,000 for a business ID. I was really hoping that wouldn't be the case.

Thanks for the reply David.
