E816 CJC Inputs

Postby LeoDelC on Tue May 31, 2016 2:11 pm

The manual for the E816 states the unit has two inputs for cold-junction compensation sensors (CJC1 and CJC2). When connected to my C127 dash, these input pins do not appear in the Connections Devices menu.

How do I configure the dash to read these inputs?

You can't configure those inputs, they are designed to use Bosch 0 280 130 023/026 temperature sensors.

If I connect the specified sensor, how do I access the temperature reading of the sensor?

In dash manager go to Connections>Communications, select the CAN bus you have the E816 connected to and then click select. Search for "Expander Diagnostics" and click OK. That template includes both of the CJ Comp channels as well as other diagnostics.
