blanking cap for CAN connector

Postby otto69 on Sun Dec 22, 2013 9:43 pm

Hi
Have tried a search, but can't seem to locate a blanking or dust cap for the CAN connector. The female one that the UTC plugs into. Is there such an animal or do I have to make one ?
Is there a generic name for that type of connector ?
cheers

They are compatible with XLR-5 pin connectors (Switchcraft A5F mates with it).

I've never seen a blanking cap, but it's possible it exists.

Thanks Peter
Great info.
I might just turn up a plastic cap then.

How about this one from Farnell.

Is this the right gender? Mines been butchered and hard wired into the car with a usb socket to plug into so I can't tell.

Thanks mate
Looking at the drawing it should fit, the bore of the bulkhead connector is 20.5mm.
I ended up finding a plastic blanking cap that fitted without having to make one.
