Have you verified whilst driving (with a passenger reading the connected laptop) that the "Ground Speed" channel, and the "Gear" channels are definately showing accurate readings?

it has to be those exact channel names...

regards,

Jamie

how about the ground speed channel?

Perhaps email me your config so that I can test it here.

Hi,

Your ECU config is fine and is working, can you go for another drive, check if you can see gear and speed working and send us the log file from the ECU so we can take a look further.

Was there ever a solution to this ?

I'm not sure what the original issue was but if you send your ECU config to support@motec.com.au I can test it out for you.

the solution is to get your MDD firmware upgraded. The problem is known and since the upgrade is not as easy as plugging in a UTC the MDD generally does not get upgraded after leaving the factory.

This solved the lack of gear position on my unit and a mates, 2 different old firmwares.
