Problem with password

Postby Kemoly on Wed May 27, 2009 11:43 am

Hello,

Short story, I purchased my EVO VII used, and the previous owner bought a P&P m800 for it, someone tuned it and seems he locked with a password. I downloaded the program, got the cable and connected the ecu but it ask me a password but I can't reach the previous owner so he can give it to me. Since my full engine overhaul, it's pretty bad rich in the low zone of the map and we want to correct this before it start washing the cyls.

So my question is, if can-t get the password, what can I do? Please don't tell me I need to reflash the ecu, blanc the ecu and satart from scratch, or can I do this anf get from somewhere a base tune for this EVO II wich is mostly stock?

Thanks for any help

If the password is lost the ECU needs to be returned to a MoTeC Dealer who will have to send it back to MoTeC to have it cleared. The configuration file will be cleared at the same time. It will be a lot easier for you if you can get in touch with the person who installed the password.
