EVO 8 iddle stepper controlling

Hi,
I would like to control the IAC stepper motor on my evo8 like this:
- fully closed (OUT) without ALS
- fully open (IN) with ALS engaged

Do I need to modify the harness (cut the 12V's?) & what are the recommended settings to put in the iddle control SW in order to have it engaged by the ORB activation?
