Lambda cable needed

I have an M800 Evo48 with lambda enabled. I have a Motec LSU-4.0 lambda sensor & I need to connect it to the Evo48 on-board lambda socket. What cable do I need between the LSU-4.0 & the on-board socket? Please let me know the cable part number & if it requires any other accessories so I could order them.

If it's anything like the M800 (WRX9-10) I'm using, the ECU end is a DT06 (I think) and the Bosch end is readily available online.

I actually bought the MOTEC branded cable initially, only to find the Bosch end was incorrect for my newer 4.9 LSU, and had to re-pin it myself. Making the cable yourself will cost probably 10-20% of buying the pre-made one, for what it's worth. Just triple check the pin-outs before pinning the connectors.

There are actually two cables in my case, and probably yours - one from the board to the DT06 and one from the DT06 to the LSU.

Hi,

From the M800 LA2 connector on the board, you need P/N 61044 OEM to Lambda loom, and from this you have P/N 61051 Loom Lambda Ext 2.5m DTM to LSU 4.0 (this is the flat 6 pin oval shaped connector). You also need to have Lambda enabled, unless it is a new board, in which case you have 8 hours (engine run time) of Lambda available to assist in tuning the car.

Hi Stephen
I appreciate your reply,
As I'm buying those cables from a UK Motec dealer, I'm told that the correct P/N for the 'Loom Lambda DTM to LSU 4.0' in Europe is 61050 not 61051 & if I order the 61051 it won't fit with an LSU 4.0 sensor.... is that correct?

Sounds like you might be running into the same issue that I had. The 61044 is the must-have part. The other loom (DT to LSU 4.0) can be built for approximately 20 USD.

The part numbering in Europe is different to Australia.
MoTeC Europe Part numbers are:
61050: MoTeC OEM Adaptor (3m)for LSU 4.0 sensor.
65051: MoTeC OEM adaptor (2m) for LSU 4.9 sensor.

You will also need 61044 M800 OEM Lambda Adapter if you don't already have one. This is the lead that plugs in to the ECU adapter board and is terminated with the 6 Pin DTM that connects to the Lambda loom.

I am able to supply any of these components if you are in U.K.
