Sync error issues

Hi I've recently gone over to a M800 PnP brand new ecu unit from Motec uk
It's fitted to a Subaru Impreza it's the wrx 7/8 unit
All fitted and starts and runs ok
Drives ok till about 2800 rpm and it goes limp till after 3300 rpm.
Ref and sync have brand new genuine sensor fitted.
Crank and cam new pulley so the pick ups are brand new.
It's also had new direct wire loom from sensor to ecu.
On idle the dioanostic errors are all saying ok
Till u drive it or Rev it up to the 3000 rpm range and then it Sends off
error ref signal and error no sync signal.
Once the car have started and u disconnect the sync sensor it runs perfect when u drive it, no limp spots
All that comes up on the errors is No sync signal
Anyone shed some light on my issue
Am I right to think the mag sensor can't control the voltage and that's causing all my ref and sync errors and make my car go limp?
Is it better to change the mag sync sensor to a Hall effect GT101 sensor?
