I just downloaded the new ECU manager software (3.50L4) and one on the things that I like in this upgrade is the Knock control, however, I have two questions: (Please note that I have a 2006 EVO 9)
1) when upgrading from 3.41G2 do I need to do anything beyond what is written in the read me file.
2) Can you guys provide me with the 2006 EVO 9 knock sensor parameters and tables.
Thanks,
Az

Knock control...
So does that mean if this upgrade is applied to an older model, it will have a knock detection system available to use, using factory sensors already installed ?
M800 pnp, STi7

The software is there to setup knock but you must use a knock sensor amp/filter known as a SKM
with the ECU.

Are sure it can not be used with the stock sensor on the EVO 9?

There is an additional board that needs to be installed in to the ECU, it is called an OKM (OEM Knock Module). The standard sensor is used but the additional module needs to be installed and set up by a trained MoTeC Dealer. The knock control parameters are relatively straightforward but the correct setup of the OKM is quite complex.

So with this retro-fitted....would this be used in a closed loop fashion as a safety addition ??
Or is it purely a detection device for use when tuning ?
Any approximate pricing ?

The knock module will allow full knock control on individual cylinders as well as monitoring during tuning. You can see the parameters in the new software under Adjust/Functions/Knock Control.

OKM is about 40% of the price of your M800 plug-in, tuning not included.
It is not cheap because there is a lot of research and development behind it.
