Subaru JDM V7 ALS question

[Ver.III]

We normally use mode 3 and jack open the throttle and reset the TPS . Now we like to use a stepper motor to open the throttle and use a switch to activate the ALS (mode 1). Just wanted to know if I still do the TPS reset in the ALS jacked positon or when the throttle is in the "normal" closed position. If the reset is at the jacked postion, what happens to the TPS position readings when the ALS is off on transits ?
