EVO X MAP Questions

Postby Aaron86 on Tue Jan 23, 2024 11:54 pm

Hi all!

This is the first time for me working on a Motec ECU, I have to tune a EVO X, I have some questions, does motec provide base maps? As the map I'am using is provided by another tuner and that should be fine for the car but I'd like to use base maps provided from motec if they are avaiable.

Anyway I got the engine started and working, I was able to tune the car so we could check everything was ok but fuel level gauge does not work, and I can't see lambda 1 from motec ecu manager (value stuck at 1,57)

I guess the lambda could be damaged as it is the oem one or misconfigured, but I can't really find a way to make the fuel level work. Can someone help me with this?

thanks

Hi,

I have attached the installation notes for the EVO X M800 ECU, as well as the base files for the ECU.

thanks a lot!

I didn't try the map yet, but I read the manual and didn't find nothing specific about fuel level, it just says that it shoud work cause these functions are preset, Will give it a try!

Thanks! I tried to upload every map you attached but none of this made the fuel level work on the cluster. I tried reading the manual but can't find how to manage this... any ideas?

I'm not sure why the Fuel Level isn't working, the Fuel Level sensor feeds into the ETAS in the EVO X, not the M800, so it shouldn't have an affect on it's operation. If the OEM ECU is in place, does the Fuel Level work correctly?

yes with oem ecu I have no problem, when I switch to Motec ecu fuel gauge isn't working, engine is working fine instead, anche I can't find a reason for this to happen

yes, can setup address is like page 6 of the installation manual, it does not work. I tried all the base file you sent me, 2 of them puts fan always active (i didn't try to run the engine) the other base maps does not show fuel level at all, Everything else seems to work correctly, we did a base tune to test the new engine and we didn't find other problem till now
