CAN-BUS Sensor Templates

Would it be possible to make generic CAN device templates available. When I say generic I am referring to CAN based sensors that are readily available on production vehicles. As an example a yaw rate sensor:

or a steering angle sensor:

The reason I am asking is that these sensors are:
1. Well packaged and robust
2. Since they are CAN based do not use a precious analog channel
3. Are very inexpensive since they can be gotten from automobile recyclers.

The downside of CAN is that the templates from vendors like BOSCH are not readily available. Without a given template a CAN analyzer and some specific expertise is required to create one. This is usually beyond the reach of the average enthusiast/racer. However, as in the case of throttle by wire characterization perhaps a small set of templates for a few common CAN sensors could be provided ?

The datasheets for the sensors usually have the necessary information to create a CAN template. Are you looking for someone to create MoTeC templates for some specific devices, you can certainly find someone who can do that for a fee.

Bosch is notorious for not sharing that type of information. If you know of a place that can generate a template then please share.

Motec can build a datasheet for you, but it's gonna cost you. If this is something you're going to do a bunch of it may be in your best interest to buy your own CAN analyzer.
