Fuel level sender

Postby BIG GAZ on Mon Apr 02, 2012 6:34 pm

I have just purchased an M800 for a land speed car and want to install a fuel level sender into the plastic fuel cell. I was think about using a VDO unit, two wire, i.e earth and sender that has a 10-180ohms range. Part No 220-003. Will this work?
Is it as easy as using a spare AV input and wiring it up? There has been a post about filtering to smooth out the signal. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Thanks for the quick response!
I built a blown and EFI injected 351 Cleveland in a Falcon called OVAKIL back in 1986 with a Haltech F3 which was a bit of stretch for me back then! Now I realise how things have progressed since the dark ages with this new M800. I also bought the CDL3, SLM and the VCS with two cameras so I will have plenty of questions.
Thanks again,
