Help with Bosch MAP sensor.

Postby kpturbo on Thu May 28, 2009 6:48 am

Hello.
Is there a motec guy here that could help me with a little MAP sensor question??
I have just purchased a new Bosch 3.5bar map senor with a built in airtemp sensor also.
The part number for the sensor is 0 281 002 456 and here is a link to the sensor,
http://rb-aa.bosch.com/boaasocs/;jsessi ... 94&lang=en

My problem is the setup of this sensor to my Motec M4 ecu.
In the sensor setup on my M4 there are only 5 different sensor to choose from and non of them goes over
300kPa, and i have now a 350kPa sensor.
I know I have to choose the User Defined and calibrate the sensor myself in the Senor Cal Tables, but im not sure
what valiues to put in the colums.
I have been in the HELP section but im still not sure what valiue to put in??
I hope someone here can help me with this. Then i can finally get some sleep ;)

Thanks from Norway.

You need to select "-1" for your sensor calibration and enter the numbers in the calibration table. The numbers are A/D counts (1024=5 Volts). So at 50 kpa enter 102 and at 350 kpa enter 922. THen you need to interpolate the table so press "F9" and select Interpolate Horizontal Row and the rest of the numbers in the calibration will be calculated.
