Ok to extend plm sensor cable

Postby whrdnsx on Sun Feb 17, 2013 6:58 pm

My PLM sensor cable is barely long enough to reach my engine. I'd like to tidy this up by cutting & extending the sensor harness by a metre. Ok to do this? any ill effects?? voltage drop??

Read something somewhere mentioning that the PLM was calibrated for certain length sensor harness.

It's approx 3 metres. just the standard length that came with the plm. Sorry if this is a stupid question but electrical is not my strong point. but A/F ratio accuracy is what i'm concerned about.
